CRC RECEIVED <br /> RE: Pueblo East Pit, File No. M-1986-015 <br /> Operator: Continental Materials Corporation dba Transit Mix of Pueblo MAR 0 7 2012 <br /> Contact: Gary Tuttle—(303)653-5584 <br /> Section 34,Twp. 20S, Rng. 64W, 6`h P.M., Pueblo County Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining&Safety <br /> CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL <br /> ® If stormwater is contained on-site, it must infiltrate into the ground or be released to the natural <br /> stream system within 72 hours, or all work must cease until a substitute water supply plan, or <br /> augmentation plan approved by water court, is obtained which includes said storage. <br /> ® The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ® evaporation, ® dust control, <br /> ❑ reclamation, ❑ water removed in the mined product, ® processing, ❑ other:. <br /> As stated in Exhibit E, the applicant has submitted a new well permit application and amendment to <br /> the pending substitute water supply plan. The applicant shall wait for approval of the above prior to <br /> exposure and subsequent initiation of uses of ground water in Phase 7. <br /> ® The applicant shall continue to hold a financial warranty that will ensure backfilling of the Phase l <br /> and Phase 7 pits to cover the exposed ground water to a depth of two feet above the static ground <br /> water level. <br /> COMMENTS: The applicant has requested release of a portion of their financial warranty in the amount <br /> necessary for construction of a slurry wall around the Phase 2 portion of the operation. According to a <br /> January 9, 2012 letter from this agency, the site within Phase 2 has been lined to the design standard <br /> referenced in the State Engineer Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel Pits; therefore, this agency has no <br /> objection to the requested partial release.
