Pineda <br />Director <br />RE: Twentymile Coal Company, Permit C -82 -056 <br />Fourth Quarter Discharge Monitoring Report Review (Permit CO- 0027154, CO- 0036684, <br />CO- 0042161) <br />December 2011 Discharge Monitoring Report (CO- 0027154) <br />January 2012 Discharge Montoring Report (CO- 0027154) <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br />above referenced reports to be in compliance with Rule 4.05.13(2). The Forth Quarter Discharge <br />Monitoring Reports for the above referenced CDPS Permits were received by the Division on 01 March <br />2012; the reports cover the time period from 01 October 2011 through 31 December 2011 and 01 <br />December 2011 through 31 December 2011 and 01 January 2012 through 31 January 2012 (CO- <br />0027154). <br />Permit CO- 0027154 — During the month of December 2011 only outfall 005A /MON5 /005W (Pond D) <br />flowed. No other outfalls flowed in December. <br />During the month of January 2012 no outfalls flowed. <br />During the fourth quarter 2011 only outfall 005A/MON5 /005W (Pond D) flowed. No exceedances were <br />noted. WET tests were collected for Outfall 005W. The tests indicated that the effluent was not acutely <br />toxic to Daphina magna. <br />Permit CO- 0036684 — Outfall 001A/001W/MONl (Site 62) discharged throughout the quarter with no <br />exceedances noted. WET tests were collected for Site 62. The tests indicated that the effluent was not <br />acutely toxic. <br />Permit CO- 0042161 — Outfall 002A (sites 300E and 3001) did not discharge due to freezing conditions. <br />Outfalls 001A /001W/1\40N1 (site 115) did not discharge during the quarter. <br />Permit COG - 850051 — Outfall 001 /OOW (6MN Pond) did not discharge during the fourth quarter. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
