fFARG E
AGGREGATES
& CONCRETE
March 07, 2012
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Attn: Timothy Cazier
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Co 80203
Dear Mr. Cazier,
I would like to withdraw the Temporary Cessation at this time. On 03/02/2012 I called
you to let you know that Lafarge does not plan on further mining but plans to enter into
final reclamation beginning in 2012.
a. The reasons for nonproduction or cessation of mining operations — Lafarge idled
operations at this site due to lowered market demand in the area. Lafarge does not
plan on further mining but plans to enter into final reclamation beginning in 2012.
b. A plan for resumption of mining — Lafarge does not plan on further mining but
plans to enter into final reclamation beginning in 2012
c. Lafarge will continue to implement the weed control program submitted to the
DRMS. The site will be inspected periodically by Lafarge to prevent
accumulation of non - mining materials. Lafarge plans to contract earthwork and
vegetation with in 2012 for final reclamation work.
d. Demonstration that the existing Financial Warranty is adequate to cover the
reclamation liability — The bond has considered all currently disturbed areas and
no further mining will occur on this site. The posted bond would be adequate to
cover the current reclamation liability.
LAFARGE WEST, INC. — Aggregate & Concrete
10170 Church Ranch Way, Suite 200, Westminster, Colorado 80021
Telephone: (303) 657 -4000 Facsimile (303) 657 -4037
RECEIVED
MAR 0 , 2012
Division of Reclamation,
Mining & Safety
