regional ground water system. Based on this update, an evaluation is made of the potential for current
and proposed surface mining activities to affect the flow and quality of water in the District.
The evaluation of the potential impact of mining on the hydrology system of the District was conducted
in two parts:
1. Regional Hydrologic Evaluation (Section 2); and
2. Hydrogeochemical Evaluation (Section 3).
