Dear Mr. Boulay:
On behalf of Snowcap Coal Company, Inc., enclosed is an application for a permit revision to
gain approval from the Division to remove Ponds 6, 10, 11 and 13 along with other drainage
control features at CRDA 1 & 2, CBA 1 & 2 and the North Portal. This permit revision also seeks
approval to make changes to the final reclamation plans of Ponds 6, 10, and 11, Coal Gulch, the
Coal Canyon drainage and Roadside North Portal. Enclosed are revised and new Permit Pages,
Exhibits, Tables and Appendices demonstrating that these drainage features can be reclaimed
and the final reclamation plans are warranted.
Snowcap's Wastewater Discharge Permit No. C00027146 with the Colorado Department of
Public Health and Environment has been renewed and additional effluent parameters have been
added to the monitoring requirements. Table 18 -1 has been revised to reflect these changes.
