Once the liner placement has been completed, a minimum of two feet of material that
meets the drain cover fill ( "DCF ") specification as discussed for the SGVLF will be
placed prior to placement of the High Grade Mill foundation materials. Additional
overburden will be placed to varying depths (minimum of 10 feet) in approximately five
to ten -foot lifts followed by compaction of each lift. Two different types of material will
be used to bring the platform to final grade. In areas of the platform where the mill
building foundation and heavy structure foundations (such as the leach circuit
cyanidation tanks) will require footers, the foundation material will consist of overburden
crushed to minus one inch in size or similar material as specified in the mill
specifications for foundation material beneath buildings. A minimum of eight feet of this
material will be required. Areas outside of the foundations requiring footers, used for
lighter tanks or for materials storage, will be brought to grade using overburden screened
to minus six inches in size. This material will be placed to within two feet of the surface
and covered with two feet of gravel.
Figure 6 -2 shows mill platform cross sectional views including a detail of the mill
platform liner system. Technical specification for construction of the High Grade Mill
facilities platform will be submitted prior to liner installation.
As shown on Figure 6 -2, the High Grade Mill platform will consist of three levels. The
uppermost level will be the same level as the LOB at approximately 10,060 feet amsl.
The agglomerated ground product stockpile will be located at this level. This level also
will be used for placement of the crushed higher grade ore stockpiles which will cascade
down to the next level. The High Grade Mill platform liner system will tie into the
existing LOB liner system at the existing haul road.
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
6 -8
