I enjoyed meeting you and talking briefly with you last Friday in Timm Comer's office. Timm asked me to
forward a copy of the proposed seed mix for the reclamation areas at CC &V. This seed mixture can be
obtained from commercial sources, based on our experiences in 2010 and 2011. I have included a few
lternate" grasses, forbs, and shrubs that we can obtain commercially also, in the event the others are not
.vailable. There is a list of three species for wetlands that we have also used successfully (tufted hairgrass,
Baltic rush, and field sedge). We would typically use these species for low -lying areas or drainages that might
see seasonal water standing. They are commercially available but very expensive, so our use will be limited.
We would entertain your suggestions or changes to this seed mixture. We are preparing our permit
application through DRMS right now, so if you have any comments, please get them to me by mid - November
if possible.
Again, thanks for your input.
Mike
Michael D.
