Section 4.6 Hydrology <br />EXHIBIT G <br />WATER INFORMATION <br />The Mine Life Extension 2 is not expected to affect surface or ground water systems. <br />Exhibit G, through reference to the Sections of the Project Description itemized below, <br />contains a description of the ground and surface water conditions for the Cresson Project. <br />This Exhibit contains Drawing G -1 that shows surface water drainages and ground water <br />wells permitted through the Division of Water Resources /Office of the State Engineer for <br />a two -mile radius from the permit boundary. Appendix 2 in Volume II also contains a <br />compilation of ground and surface water data for the Cresson Project and vicinity. <br />Project water agreements are included as Appendix 11 in Volume VI. <br />Drawing G -2 shows water rights for springs and surface water registered with the <br />Division of Water Resources /Office of the State Engineer within a two -mile radius. The <br />accompanying Project Description and appendices discuss the location of surface water <br />within the project area or on adjacent land as well as drainage and sediment control <br />measures used to manage runoff to protect surface and ground water resources. This <br />Exhibit and the accompanying discussions outlined below also identify any known <br />aquifers, and discuss the ground water system and the potential effects of the mining <br />operations on the ground water system. In addition, a discussion of project water <br />requirements and water supply is included. For a discussion of other permits existing at <br />the site, including the existing permits with the Water Quality Control Division, please <br />see Exhibit M. <br />Information on surface and ground water as well as project controls to eliminate potential <br />impacts is included in various parts of the Project Description in Volume I of this <br />application as outlined below. <br />Section 5.0 Mining and Operations Management Plan (Specifically subsections <br />5.7.1, 5.7.2, and 5.7.3) <br />Section 6.0 High Grade Mill Facilities <br />Section 7.0 Valley Leach Facilities (Subsections 7.2, 7.3, 7.6 and 7.7) <br />Section 9.0 Precious Metals Recovery Facility <br />Section 10.0 Surface Water Management <br />Section 11.0 Monitoring <br />Appendix 2 in Volume II also contains a compilation of ground and surface water data <br />for the Cresson Project and vicinity.
