Appendix RW -E.2 HECRAS Internal Bridge Cross Sections - Upstream and
Downstream Face, is a cross section of the proposed bridge at the Upstream and
Downstream Face of the bridge. The view is looking downstream and shows graphically
the bridge input data as per Appendix RW -E.1. The calculated 100 Year Water Surface
is not shown on the exhibit.
Appendix RW -E.3 Bridge Design Drawing — Plan & Profile — Upstream, prepared by
Railroad Specialties, Inc.. The drawing shows proposed and existing grades, erosion
control and detailed bridge and pier dimensions. The profile view is looking
downstream.
Appendix RW -E.4 Bridge Design Drawing — Plan & Profile — Downstream, prepared by
Railroad Specialties, Inc.. The drawing shows proposed and existing grades, erosion
control and detailed bridge and pier dimensions. The profile view is looking
downstream.
1.4 Summary of Results for the HEC -RAS Developed Condition Channel
Analysis
The computer program HEC -RAS River Analysis System, Version 4.1.0, January, 2010,
developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hydrologic Engineering Center was
used to model the post construction developed conditions for Reed Wash to include the
proposed bridge crossing.
As shown on the CLOMR request exhibits in Appendices RW -E the proposed bridge is
approximately 116.74 -Feet in length from the east bridge abutment to the west bridge
abutment and is designed to have five (5) in channel piers. As measured from the face
of the east bridge abutment westerly the piers are spaced at 13.84', 15.47', 32.26',
18.94', 18.94' and 17.29' center to center. The 32.26' dimension locates the second and
third piers from the left on the overbank area of the pilot channel allowing for un-
restricted flow within the pilot channel conveyance area. The piers are to be HP shape
steel piles, HP14x102 beams with the flange facing perpendicular to the direction of flow.
The Top Chord Elevation of the bridge is to be a 4,466.12. The Bottom Chord Elevation
of the bridge is to be a 4,461.64. Minor re- grading on the channel overbank under the
bridge adjacent to the east abutment is proposed to increase the conveyance area under
