EXHIBIT 5
CONCLUSIONS
At the proposed CAM - Colorado LLC Unit Train Loadout Site, intensive vegetation studies
were conducted on three potential predisturbance vegetation types. A statistical summary of
this vegetation sampling is presented in Table 2.04.10 -2, Sample Adequacy Calculations.
Sample adequacy was achieved for total plant cover sampling at the 90 percent confidence
interval on the Greasewood Predisturbance and Greasewood Reference Areas and the
maximum sample sizes as agreed upon with DRMS prior to conducting the field sampling were
achieved for herbaceous production and woody plant density for the Greasewood
Predisturbance and Greasewood Reference Areas and for all parameters in the Wetland and
Riparian plant communities.
With respect to potential revegetation success standards, it was determined that the proposed
Greasewood Reference Area will be adequate for all of the proposed disturbance associated
with the Greasewood plant community and given the minimal extent of proposed disturbance to
the Wetland plant community (less than 0.5 acres cumulative) and absence of proposed
disturbance to the Riparian plant community, plant cover and herbaceous forage production for
all of the disturbance associated with these two minor vegetation types which will be reclaimed
to a Fish and Wildlife habitat postmine land use will be sampled as a single unit for comparison
to the Greasewood Reference Area at the time of final bond release.
20
