Elevation averages approximately 4460 feet within the project area. This elevation <br />range contains vegetation of the lower portion of the Upper Sonoran zone including <br />greasewood, saltbush and rabbitbrush. Regional faunal inhabitants include coyotes, mountain <br />lions, bobcats, mule deer and desert bighorn sheep. Smaller mammals like foxes, desert <br />cottontails, squirrels, and other rodents can also be seen. The valley floor is home to golden <br />eagles, red - tailed hawks, turkey vultures, Gambel's quail, magpies, mourning doves, white - <br />throated swifts and jays. <br />Plate 1.
