2.06.1 No response required.
2.06.2 Experimental Practices Mining
The applicant does not plan to perform experimental practices mining,
therefore no response is required for this section.
2.06.3 Mountaintop Removal Mining
The Applicant does not plan to perform mountaintop removal mining,
therefore no response is required for this section.
2.06.4 Steep Slope Mining
The Applicant does not plan to perform steep slope mining, therefore no
response is required for this section.
2.06.5 Variances from Approximate Original Contour Restoration
The Applicant does not intend to request a variance from approximate
original contour restoration.
2.06.6 Prime Farmlands
The Applicant does not plan to conduct surface coal mining operations on
prime farmlands, therefore no response is required for this section. A
December 20, 2010 letter from the NRCS indicates a small portion of the
area is listed as prime, however a field review determined the site does
not have crop history. Therefore the area is not considered prime
farmland. The NRCS letter is located in Exhibit 8.
2.06.7 Variances for Delay in Contemporaneous Reclamation Requirements in
Combined Surface and Underground Mining Operations.
The Applicant does not plan to conduct combined surface and underground
coal mining operations, therefore no response is required for this section.
