2.05.3 <br />Conveyors <br />There are three conveyors constructed on the property which are described as <br />follows and are shown on Map 16: <br />1. Stacker Conveyor <br />The stacker conveyor transfers coal from the truck dump to the radial stacker. <br />This 48 -inch wide conveyor is approximately 175 -feet. The stacker conveyor <br />runs under the rail tracks. It is housed in an 82 foot long 8 foot diameter <br />corrugated metal pipe. <br />2. Radial Stacker <br />The radial stacker transfers clean coal to the coal stockpile. This 48 -inch wide <br />truss mounted conveyor is approximately 160 feet long. All of the radial stacker <br />is truss mounted. <br />3. Loading Conveyor <br />The loading conveyor transfers clean coal to the loading system. This 72 -inch <br />wide conveyor is approximately 562 feet. <br />Rail Loop and Spur Track Materials: <br />In addition to rail and ties, construction of the rail loop and spur track will require <br />ballast, sub - ballast and in some cases, pit run. Ballast is crushed rock and <br />ranges in size based on the class specified, but will typically be two inch minus <br />material. Sub - ballast is crushed rock and will typically be one and one quarter <br />inch minus material. Pit run is cobble type rock that may be used to stabilize <br />unsuitable subgrade areas. All three rock types will likely be obtained from <br />United Companies 15 Road gravel pit, or, another DRMS approved gravel pit <br />located in the general project vicinity. <br />(c) Haul Roads <br />A road is a surface right -of -way for purposes of travel by land vehicles in coal <br />exploration or surface coal mining and reclamation operations. A haul road is <br />any road used for the transportation of coal, spoil or coal mine waste. <br />Haul road sections are presented on Map -15.
