March 5, 2012 <br />ANk <br />AGGREGATE <br />Mr. Berhan Keffelew INDUSTRIES <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: Request for Extension, Technical Revision Regarding Water on Neighboring <br />Property, Aggregate Industries Hazeltine Mine, Permit Number M- 2004 -031 <br />Dear Mr. Keffelew: <br />Aggregate Industries is requesting an extension to submit a Technical Revision (TR) <br />regarding water on a 4.49 acre parcel located adjacent to the east side of the Hazeltine <br />Mine. The TR was requested following a DRMS inspection on October 5, 2011 and was <br />originally due on January 4, 2012. We appreciate your granting of an extension of the <br />due date to March 4, 2012; however, the preferred alternative for resolving this issue, as <br />proposed and designed by Aggregate's consulting engineers, Tetra Tech, involves <br />coordinating with adjacent property owner, Denver Water, north of the Hazeltine site. <br />Denver Water has expressed to Aggregate Industries that the proposal could be <br />accommodated; however, they have also indicated that they wish to see more details. h1 <br />order to accommodate Denver Water's request and make any adjustments that may result <br />from their further review, we respectfully request an additional sixty (60) day extension <br />to May 5, 2012. <br />Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
