Western Fuels submitted a technical permit re\ ision (T R- <br />62) to the Colorado Division of Reclamation and Mining. Safety (DR \IS). This proposed <br />re\ ision addresses field changes made to the sampling and anal\ sis plan previously appro\ ed <br />in permit revision TR -61. The field changes were made during the December 12 through <br />December 16. 2011. soil samplinu campaign that had been required to be conducted in TR -61. <br />the sampling plan was altered Irom I R -61 in the follow ing manner: <br />1) Onl■ two hackhoe pits \\ ere exca\ atcd on Stockpile A <br />2) Onl\ two backhoe pits \\ ere excavated on Stockpile C <br />3) Onl\ lour backhoe pits were exca\ ated on Stockpile 13 <br />4) Soil samples \\ ere taken b\ horizon for the substitute material alread\ graded. <br />J) To accommodate the samplinu probe. soil samples in Stockpile C \\ ere taken in 5 foot <br />inter\ al depths instead of 4 feet inter\ als. <br />6) Due to the small size of the pit. soil samples were obtained b■ a hackhoe instead of the <br />ueoprobe for Stockpile D. <br />7) Due to the small size of the pit. soil samples were obtained by a backhoe instead of the <br />geoprobe for Stockpile E <br />8) Due to the cla■ content and moisture condition of the soil samples. OS \I \\ as unable <br />to collect an adequate spit soil sample. OS \I will collect split samples after the <br />samples ha\ e been dried. uround. and sieved. <br />
