Pineda <br />INFORM; Director <br />Sheep Mountain Alliance and Center for Biological Diversity c/o <br />Energy Minerals Law Center. <br />Bob Oswald, DRMS <br />Sunday Group of Mines, Notice of Pre - hearing Conference <br />February 16, 2012 <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety will convene a Pre - hearing Conference to address issues <br />involved with the Amendments (consisting of the Environmental Protection Plans) filed by Denison <br />Mines (USA) Corp., for permitted mines in their Sunday Group of Mines (which consists of five permits: <br />M- 1977 -285, M -1977 -416, M- 1978 -039 HR, M- 1980 -055 HR, M- 1981 -021.) <br />The Pre - hearing Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2012, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The <br />conference will be held at the Reams Construction Company building, located at 28490 Highway 141, <br />Naturita, Colorado. (Enter the building's front entrance and proceed to the ground level conference <br />room.) Ms. Sandra Brown has been appointed to preside as the Pre- hearing Conference Officer. <br />The Pre - hearing Conference will be held to describe the Division's Amendment review process, to <br />explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to <br />describe the Board Hearing processes, to propose a list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction, to <br />simplify that list, and to identify parties. Lists of any exhibits and witnesses the parties intend to <br />present at the Formal Board Hearing must be exchanged between the parties at the Pre- hearinL- <br />Conference in accordance with the requirements of Rule 2.6(2). Failure to participate in the Pre - <br />hearing Conference will result in the loss of your party status. <br />After the conference the Pre - hearing Conference Officer will prepare a proposed Pre - hearing Order. The <br />proposed Pre - hearing Order will be made available to all parties prior to the Formal Board Hearing. The <br />proposed Pre - hearing Order will contain a list of the parties, provide a recommended list of issues to be <br />considered by the Board, and outline a schedule for the hearing with time allotments set for presentations <br />by each party and the Office. The conditions of the Pre - hearing Order are not final until adopted or <br />approved by the Board at the Formal Board Hearing.
