DRMS' letters dated January 19, 2012 and February 7, 2012 transmitted its preliminary
adequacy review for the referenced permit renewal and Phase III bond release. On behalf of
Honeywood Coal Company, following are its responses to the DRMS' comments and concerns:
1. The information shown on pages 2.03 -1 through 2.03 -3 was updated.
2. Rule 2.03.5(3) requires a list of all violation notices received by the applicant during the
three year period preceding the application date. Honeywood has not received a
violation in the last three years so no violations need to be listed.
1. Enclosed is a notarized statement which certifies that all applicable reclamation activities
have been accomplished in accordance with the requirements of the Act, the rules and
the approved reclamation plan.
2. The sewage and water treatment authorities are the towns of Naturita and Nucla.
3. Permit application pages 2.05 -35 and 36 were modified as suggested by the DRMS.
Alluvial wells AW -4, 5, 6 & 7 were destroyed by a flood a few years ago so they are
listed as discontinued on page 2.05 -35.
Enclosed is an application for a minor revision to incorporate the amended pages into the
permit. Pages 2.03 -1 through 2.03 -11 and 2.05 -35 and 36 are enclosed. Not all pages were
updated but are included for you convenience.
