Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has received additional comments
from the BLM regarding the PR -2 application. The BLM has informed the Division that they
have identified several conflicts and concerns with the PR -2 proposal and that it would not be in
conformance with their current Resource Management Plan (RMP). MCM will need to address
the BLM's concerns in order for the Division to approve the PR -2 application. Please refer to
the attached letter from BLM dated February 7, 2012 and provide a substantive response to the
issues identified by the BLM and revise the PR -2 application accordingly.
We have exceeded the time for the proposed decision due to the complex nature of the permit
revision application. In order for the review process to proceed, MCM will need to request an
extension of the proposed decision deadline. Please submit a request to the Division for an
extension of the proposed decision deadline for an additional 60 days from receipt of this letter.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Ad
Michael P. Boulay
Environmental Protection Specialist
C: Tamme Bishop, J.E.
