Staff cannot locate on the newly supplied map the location of the adits to be opened.
Please clarify the exact location of the adits on the map and include the legal
description.
Attached as maps 6 and 7, on a topographic base and an aerial photographic base are the
locations of the three adits Nuvemco seeks to open. Also following are photographs of the
three adits taken in previous summer. Photographs of these adits taken in a previous summer
are included. The gps locations of the first two adits as measured by Nuvemco follow. The
latitude and longitude of the third adit were calculated from photographs.
Uranus Adit, photo 1
Uranus West Adit, photo 2
38.241731
38.241973
- 108.790051
- 108.790479
6566.3
6571.5
Lower Uranus Adit, photo 3 38.24188 - 108.78948 6545
2. What, if any, access improvements will be required to get equipment to the adits?
No improvements will be required. As shown on the aerial photograph, Map 6, existing and
historical roads and trails provide adequate access to these historic portals.
3. The Division is including the reclamation liability estimate based on the clarifications
and submitted information regarding the adits.
As stated in the previous response, Nuvemco won't decide to abandon or gate the portals until
they are opened and investigated. Nuvemco agrees with the DRMS computed bond of
$26,735.00 and will post same pursuant to DRMS bonding procedures. The bond will be
posted after these corrected deficiencies /clarifications are accepted by DRMS and the
establishment of final NOI Bond requirements.
