Materials used include: Geo textile fabric, granite <br />boulders, moss rock, round cobbles, 1 -2" landscape rock and sand. Also, maple,ash, <br />honeysuckle, flowering plum, aspen and ponderosa pine trees. We are trying to <br />accomplish reclamation with a more zero scape type finish rather than topsoil and grass <br />seed, which would require more water, weed control and maintenance. (Please inform me <br />if these reclamation practices are beyond Colorado Division Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety standards.) <br />Question #14: Weed Control includes the weeds: Kochia, Canadian Thistle, Puncture <br />Vine (Sand bur) and leafy spurge. Control area is the entire acreage of the gravel pit. <br />The control type is hand held weed mowers, push type weed mowers and bare hands with <br />gloves. Applications we applied are 2 -4D and round -up herbicides as needed during <br />warm months and according to manufactures label. <br />
