A long lasting and regenerating upland seed mixture, selected
based on the soils in the area, is recommended below:
Upland grass seed will be planted with a drill equipped with depth bands and press wheels. The
seeded area will then be covered with certified weed -less straw mulch at a rate of 2,000 pounds
per acre. The straw will be crimped into the soil to control erosion until the grass becomes
established.
In areas where wetlands could potentially be developed, the seed mix will be modified to include
more transition and wetland grasses and grass -like species. These seed mixes, especially if
standing water or saturated soils exist during planting, will likely need to be broadcast.
Greeley 25`" Avenue Site
DRMS 112 Permit Amendment Application Page 14
