COMMENTS
This was a complete inspection of the Hayden Gulch Loadout site, operated by Hayden Gulch Terminal, LLC,
DRMS file No. C- 1992 -081. This site is located south of the town of Hayden, Colorado in Routt County. I, Jared
Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the inspection. Mr. Roy Karo was
on site during the inspection.
AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17:
The operation does not appear to be contributing to air and dust pollution.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1):
The records were checked and found to be in compliance. Please see the last page of the inspection report for
more details.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05; Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,
4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water
Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Culverts TAHRC -16; 13, 12, 9, 7 and 2 we inspected and found to be in compliance and functioning. The
drainage ditches along the road appear to be functioning properly.
The Truck Loop Pond 1 was inspected; it was holding water but was snow and ice covered. The pond slopes and
embankment were stable with vegetative cover and the spillways appeared to be functioning.
The Loadout Rail Loop Pond 2 was inspected; it was snow covered. Both the inlet and outlet structures were
stable. The embankments were stable with vegetative cover.
