In order to avoid the confusion created by too many overlapping yearly lines, only the
graded areas for each year are shown on Exhibit 19 -1, Backfilling and Grading Plan. The
facilities including utility lines, haul roads, drainage and sediment control structures, and
the dragline erection pad are illustrated on Exhibits 12 -2, 13 -1, and 13 -2, and are
described in Tab 13. Reclamation costs are discussed under Tab 25, Bonding.
Reclamation Scheduling
Action Taken
• Bonds procured
• Sediment Control
• Topsoil removed and stored
• Rough grading
• Final grading (Phase I bond release
• Spoil sampling
Postmine Channel Construction
Time Period
Prior to mine disturbance
Prior to mine disturbance
Prior to mining excavation
Prior to creating 4 spoil ridges or less than
180 days unless approved by variance (see
Exhibit 19 -1)
Per schedule shown on Exhibit 19 -1
is ready for implementation)
After final grading is completed and prior
to soil replacement in areas shown on
Exhibit 6 -6
Permanent channel construction including
riprap installation will be completed
within one year of completion of the
final grading of adjacent backfill slopes,
and prior to topsoiling of area adjacent to
the channel.
• Areas which are severely compacted Within one year after final grading is
will be ripped on the contour, and topsoil completed, provided the area is not
replaced from stockpiles or direct hauled required for facilities as described in the
Projected Backfilling and Grading
Schedule section
PR -06 8
01 /11
