DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Phone: (303) 866 -3567
FAX: (303) 832 -8106
February 6, 2012
Kris Helton
Vane Minerals, LLC
7400 North Oracle Road, Suite 131
Tucson, Arizona 85704
Weather Letter
Re: Coyote Basin, Notice of Intent (NOI), No.P- 2010 -010, Request for Financial Release, SL -01, Weather Delay.
Dear Mr.Helton;
On January 30, 2012, the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division) received your request for a full release of the
financial warranty and termination of the above referenced NOI. The release request in conjunction with the submitted final
abandonment reports meets the requirements of Rule 4.16.1. It is noted that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has been
noticed of the request as well.
Per Rule 4.16.3 the Division shall within thirty days of receiving said report, or as soon thereafter as weather conditions permit,
inspect the lands and reclamation to determine if the operator has complied with all applicable requirements. This letter is to
inform Vane Minerals that current ground conditions, primarily snow and access prevent the inspection of the site. Therefore an
inspection will be scheduled as soon as weather and ground conditions allow. This may be in late April or early May.
Concurrently, if the BLM is able to visit the site prior to a Division inspection and finds the site releasable the Division can accept
that assessment and approve the release. Staff will communicate with the BLM when weather improves to see which course of
action will take place.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety, Grand Junction Field
Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
