The south pit and neck pit areas were photographed.
The site was covered with a thin layer of snow; vegetation was still visible and recently graded and/or bare areas
were void of snow. There were no signs of activity in the area, and it did not look as if any vehicles had traveled
in the area since the last snow.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,
4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water
Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Ponds 012, 012A, 013, and 014 all held water but were frozen over. The underdrain into Pond 012 was
flowing, and it appeared that the pond was discharging as a result of this inflow.
SLIDES and DAMAGE-Rule 4.12:
Most of the snow had melted off of the regraded failure slope on the north end of Pond 012, and the slope
appeared to be stable. There were no indications of any sloughing or slumping. The regraded scarp of the Pond
013 slope was also free of snow with no signs of recent movement. The neck pit slide was covered by snow.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED
OTHER(SPECIFY)
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 4
