4.1.5 Other Activities
Continuous monitoring of the nearby DS aquifer monitoring wells provided data, which
was used to manage production /recovery operations at each of the active cavities.
Throughout the year, injection and recovery rates were successfully adjusted to
maintain monitoring well water levels within target zones.
4.2 New Findings or Developments
A scheduled tubing pullback in the 10H -I resulted in an extended shut down of the 10H
pair. Work to bring the well online is ongoing.
While pressure testing the process pipeline in March 2011, a gasket failed and 32 bbls
of barren liquor was spilled onto the ground. The BLM was notified and proper
corrective actions were taken. For future pipeline pressure testing, air will be used
instead of barren liquor, and proper valve lineups will be checked to ensure process
fluid is not spilled. The location was cleaned using hand tools, all contaminated soil was
disposed of properly and the area was reseeded. No permanent vegetation damage
was noted.
Daub & Associates, Inc. 12 NSI Annual Report 2010
