Based on the information provided, the exposed water surface
area at the Firestein /Tigges /Roberts site totals 44.29 acres. Mining of the Roberts Pit was completed in
May 2006 and the pit has been reclaimed and a plan for augmentation was approved in case no.
2002CW331. In 2011, the only operations at the Firestein/Tigges site that consumed ground water was
dust control using 1.66 acre -feet and concrete batching which used 5.83 acre -feet. It is anticipated that
operations at the Firestein/Tigges during 2012 will consume 1.66 acre -feet of water for dust control, 5.90
acre -feet of water with the production of 47,500 cubic yards of concrete, and 2.65 acre -feet of water lost
with 90,000 tons of washed product (assessed a 4% by weight water loss). Dewatering operations at
the Firestein Pit ceased in 2001 and have an estimated lagged impact of 4.75 acre feet during 2012.
Dewatering operations at the Roberts Pit ceased in 2006 and have an estimated lagged impact of 30.07
acre -feet during 2012. Dewatering operations at the Tigges Pit are ongoing and have a projected
lagged credit of 111.61 acre -feet during 2012.
