The Army Corps of Engineers, the State Engineer 's Office and the Colorado Historical Society <br />were contacted . The Army verbal response no permits were required since no digging was to <br />be performed in the river stream or seep stream. The State Engineers Office and the Historical <br />Society responses summarily indicated there were no concerns. See Exhibits A,B & C. <br />2. Top soil will be used to construct the berm any excess will be removed for fill. No seeding is <br />anticipated, but if necessary see attached exhibit No. 6.3.3 -2 for seeding rate. <br />3. The access road will not acquire any modifications and will remain as an access to the pond for <br />recreational purposes after the gravel mining operations are completed. <br />4. The maximum acreage of exposed groundwater will not exceed 8.5 acres at any time and the <br />current well permit will be adequate. <br />5. Topsoil will be used to form the berm on the North and South side of the affected area. Berm <br />height will be 4' and 35' wide. <br />6. Slope of berm to be 3:1(See Reclamation Plan Map). <br />7. Berm area will be seeded ( "lacre). <br />8. Area will be ripped and leveled sufficiently, then broadcast seeded and harrowed after each dig. <br />9. Mulch is not required. <br />
