The revision provides an inventory
of all of the areas of instability that were identified
within the permit boundary in 2011 and includes a
proposed plan for mitigation and /or maintenance of
those features. The revision also documents that a
portion of light use road LU -2 has been reclaimed
and will not be retained as an approved permanent
road.
The Seneca I I -W Mine is a surface coal mine located
in Routt County, approxmately 9 miles south of Hay-
den, Colorado. Coal interest is Federal, and the sur-
face affected is Federal, state and private land. The
permit area encompasses approximately 3,878.50
acres.
This proposed decision is based on a finding that the
proposed operation will comply with all requrements
of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation
Act, Section 34 33 101, et seq., C.R.S., and the regu-
lations promulgated thereunder.
Copes of the proposed decision, including stipula-
tions, are on file for public inspection at the Colorado
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room
215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Den-
ver, Colorado 80203. Persons with an interest that
may be adversely affected by the proposed decision
may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land
Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such
request must be made within ten (10) days of the ini-
tial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and
must state with reasonable specificity the reasons for
the request and the objections to the proposed deci-
sion.
Published in the Steamboat Pilot & Today
Publication date: January 29, 2012
10289978
otOMMIltry
F • •
•
ct • u 91
• t
.9% `f OF stt
Recove°
FEB 7017
, r anon,
ptvtslo,, d Safety
Mining an
