Brian Watterson of Peabody accompanied the <br />inspection. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17: <br />No problems were observed with fugitive dust. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05; Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Due to the cold weather (below freezing), no snow melt runoff was observed during the inspection. <br />Two NPDES points were inspected: discharge from the 5D dewatering system ( NPDES point 003) and site 1 SP <br />( NPDES point 022). The 5D dewatering system was discharging, and the water flowing from this system was <br />clear with no signs of pollutants. <br />There was no discharge at NPDES point 022. <br />The SAE near the dewatering system was inspected: there was no sign of erosion or transport of sediment from <br />this area. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
