In this quarter, no discharges were observed at Outfalls 009, 011, 013
and 014. Intermittent discharge was observed at Outfall 005.
For Outfall 015, deep snow on this long, narrow road prevented safe access, even with a snowmobile, in
December. Winter time monitoring exemptions exists for this site (CPDS permit, Part I, page 20).
One mistake was noted on the revised DMRs sent to me today. For Outfall WTE ( Outfall 008 WET tests),
the frequency should be annual, not semiannual. The permit page indicating that frequency is attached. No
excursions of effluent limits occurred this quarter. Please contact me at 970 - 276 -5209 if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Dennis Jo es
Hydrologist I
cc: Ms. Susan Burgmaier
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203 -2273
Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
