Box 467
Golden, Colorado 80402
RE: Keenesburg Mine; C- 1981 -028; Annual and Fourth Quarter 2011 Pond Inspection Report
Dear Mr. MacDonald,
The Division received Coors Energy Company's Annual and Fourth Quarter 2011 Pond Inspection Report on Januaiv 9,
2012. The report indicates that CEC conducted inspections on December 22, 2011.
The Division has reviewed this report and did not find any cause for concern related to the ponds. No discharge from any
of the ponds was reported, and no structural issues were identified. The report indicates that vegetation at the sewage
lagoon is inadequate. However, as previously noted, the sewage lagoon poses no threat to public safety or environmental
health. This issue is not considered a problem.
The report submitted meets the requirements of Rules 4.05.9(14) and (17). Thank you for your submittal.
Sincerely,
0
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist, DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
