Type, Status and Size of Specific Facilities. <br />Section 2 <br />Potential for Adverse Impacts <br />2.1.1 Development Rock Piles <br />All of the development rock areas are pre- existing facilities, and many of these <br />facilities pre -date both state and federal mine reclamation regulations. Each of the five <br />Sunday Mines contains a development rock area at the main surface facility as shown <br />on Figures 2 -1 through 2 -5. Mining activity was observed on 1950's era topographic <br />maps in the area, and the Sunday Mine and Carnation Mine appear on topographic <br />maps as early as 1960.
