The purpose of this inspection was to
observe reclamation of 3 exploration drill holes for a partial bond release. Mr. Gary Carroll met the inspector at the
Environmental Alternatives, Inc. office in Canon City. Mr. Carroll represented the operator and accompanied the
inspector to the reclaimed drill sites.
The weather was dry, warin (mid 60's F) and very windy.
ROADS — Rules 2.02(2)(g) and 4.21.4(3):
Two track roads to the exploration holes remain and have not yet been reclaimed.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 2.02(g) and 4.21.2(2):
Northfield Partners LLC requested bond release for sealing of exploration drill holes NF -0113, NF -0213, and
NF -03B. These holes were twined holes with A series holes. The 3 A series drill holes remain intact, have been
cased and all 3 have locked caps.
A113 B series exploration holes were sealed in September 2007. Abandonment reports were submitted to the
Division In March 2008. Concrete caps were found below the surface for hole NF -03B, and NF -0113. Soil was
replaced over the concrete cap after observations were made. The concrete cap was not located for hole NF -02B.
No evidence was found that this hole remains open. Capped and locked hole NF -02A was found with no secondary
hole anywhere nearby. The drill hole abandonment report documents that hole NF -02B was sealed in 2007.
Vegetation on the NF-0 IA and NF -03A was not established on the sandstone outcrop. The A series wells remain,
so the pad areas have not been revegetated.
Holes NF -04A and NF -04B were observed. Both NF -04 holes have been sealed. The shallow mud pit has not yet
been filled in.
Hole NF -05A was observed. This hole has been sealed. The mud pit remains and still holds a small pool of water.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 5
