Oswald, Robert
From: Jon Thorson [jonthorson @rmi.net]
Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2012 9:54 AM
To: Oswald, Robert
Subject: Re: Colorado Potash project (P- 2011 -012)
Bob
The EA is in the draft review stage and supposed to be finished by April 1. However,
the BLM just finally got around to telling us what the specific
recommendations /requirements will be for all of the drilling details, which they are going
to put in the EA as conditions for acceptance.
I basically have to go back to the beginning and replan the entire drill hole specifics;
hole sizes and depths, casing sizes and requirements, plugging requirements , etc, etc,
etc. All of my potential contractors are back to square one as well, and re -bid with
different casing, bigger BOP, different methods of handling cuttings (closed loop rather
than mud pit). Obviously, both I and RM Potash are not too happy with the BLM telling
us, at virtually the last minute, what they will require, when they have had the
opportunity to make these decisions at any time since July.
I would appreciate your indulgence if you and CDRMS could grant RM Potash another
extension for an additional two months.
Thank you
Jon
Jon P.
