January 18, 2012 C -1982- 056 /Foidel Creek Mine JDM <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />This was a partial coal inspection conducted by Jason Musick of DRMS. Jerry Nettleton of Twentymile Coal <br />accompanied the inspection. The weather was cloudy and the mine site was wet and snow covered at the time of <br />the inspection. This inspection focused on approved activities associated with the construction of the 16 LT <br />borehole pad and access road, reclamation activities at the Fish Creek Tipple, and review of outstanding <br />maintenance items. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) /4.03.2(3)Drainage 4.03.1(4) /4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7): <br />Construction of the 16LT borehole access road has been completed. Roadside ditches are in place with roadside <br />berms located on the eastern side of the road. Culverts were located in the appropriate locations. All roadside <br />ditches and road culverts were snow- covered at the time of the inspection. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Ongoing reclamation activities were being conducted at the Fish Creek Tipple site. All structures have been <br />demolished and removed with backfilling and grading operations being conducted at the time of the inspections. <br />Fish Creek Tipple Reclamation <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />Support facilities on site were stable with no problems noted, with the exception of the following: <br />- the million gallon water tank south of Pond G was over flowing at the time of the inspection. Repair work was <br />conducted last year to address this issue. The overflow has iced over and should be addressed to maintain the <br />operation of the tank and prevent damage. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Required disturbance area markers have yet to be placed in the required location along the 16 LT access roads and <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />No problems were noted. <br />
