Nicole,
As discussed by phone earlier, I received the amended stormwater discharge permit application that includes the
Colorado Quarries Mica White Pit, the associated access roads, and stock -pile area, on October 14, 2011.
The application is complete, and contains all the information I need to move forward with issuing Colorado Quarries a
permit certification under the stormwater discharge permit for Sand and Gravel Mining and Processing (COR340000).
I will require Colorado Quarries to sample stormwater discharges from the facility, and as such, the permit certification
will take a little time to write and issue.
Be advised that this is not because you have not shown due diligence with respect to the application requirements, but
because I have other competing duties. I hope to have the permit certification to you within the next couple of weeks.
