Exhibit E- Reclamation Plan
(1) This site is BLM mineral and surface ownership. The reclamation plan is a joint effort with the
BLM to achieve a positive post mining product as well as keeping the public in mind to visual
impact.
(2) (a) The south wall top of cut is at the deposit contact with the country rock and no visibility
factors. This slope is a .5:1 final grade with benches. Benches will be covered with schist type
material to a depth of 6" -12 ". Wall will be 40' vertical with 20' wide benches. Material will be
placed on benches with wheel loader and graded to final slope with a dozer. This area is
approximately Y acre. Benches will be sloped to wall and drainage directed of either end into
pit floor sedimentary pond.
The south east wall will be constructed to a 1. 5:1 slope. Face will be 40' cut on a 1:1 slope with
a 20' wide bench. This area also has no visibility. Schist type material will be placed to a depth
of 6 " -12" on benches only in this section. Drainage will be directed to pit floor catchment. This
area is approximately 13/4 acres.
The north pit wall is a highly visible area and will be constructed to 80' wall on a 2:1 slope and a
20' wide bench. This will allow for placement of 6 -12" dark colored schist type material to be
placed on cut face as well as benches. Placement on face will be with loader and excavator and
final graded with excavator and dozer. Benches will be sloped to wall and drainage directed to
ends of cut into pit floor sediment pond. This area will be approximately 14 acres.
(b) Post mining land use for this site is rangeland and wildlife habitat. Re- vegetation plan is per
NRCS recommendations.
(c) In the south east and south wall sections of the pit upon completion of benches, material
placement will be performed and grading done to construct drainage and prepare for the
planting and seeding. The north cut will not be covered until ultimate face is constructed.
However this will be started from the top down. As each slope and bench is final graded, schist
type material will be placed to final grade while mining is proceeding below. Interim grading will
be performed to direct runoff to pit floor sediment pond. Tree planting will take place on
prepared benches as soon as practical.
(d) There is virtually no topsoil at this site. Any top material which may sustain plant growth will
be salvaged for placement on benches on North Slope. Schist type material which is found in
random pockets and usually fairly well decomposed will be salvaged for reclamation. Re-
vegetation will be performed to NRCS recommendations.
I'J
