Exhibit D- Mining Plan
(A) Mining methods related to surface disturbance.
(B) Mining is performed utilizing excavators, dozers and wheel loaders. This pit is a wall and bench
design by mining with excavators and pushing over face with dozer to loader. Pit floor is process
site using jaw, crusher, cone crusher and screening.
(C) Mine face drainage is directed to pit floor to impoundment area shown on mine plan map.
(D) Due to the topography at this site, approximately 20 acres should be maximum disturbance at
any on a time.
(E) (1) As we do not produce a lot of annual tonnage from this site, it will take numerous years to
achieve completion on a number of the areas. First phase will be to mine the S.E. and S. walls.
This could very well take 7 to 10 years. The second phase would be to progress to the north.
This being the area of the slope failure we will be extending the top of cut a considerable
distance as shown on map. Our intent is to do a design on the north pit wall to construct no
more than a 2:1 final slope for stability. This mining phase could easily take 10 years as you will
note on the map we have extended permit area beyond this catch point in order to mine in to
the north in the third phase.
(a)First phase- Southeast and south walls will likely be 7 -10 years.
(b)Second phase -North pit wall approximately 10 years.
(c )Third phase -As shown on map will be 15 years plus.
(II)(a) First phase- Southeast and south walls approximately 3 acres.
(b) Second phase- North wall will be approximately 15 acres.
(c) Third phase- North wall extension will be approximately 15 acres.
(III) The first phase is constructed to a 5:1 slope. This area will have schist type material placed
on benches only for re- growth. As the east wall extends north, material will be placed on
benches upon completion. The east wall will also transform to a 2:1 slope as it extends north as
shown on map. Third phase will follow with final north pit wall constructed last.
(F) (1) Depth and thickness shown on map. Schist type material when encountered will be placed
on constructed benches.
(G) Primary commodities are as follows: architectural exposed aggregates, landscape stone and
aquarium stone. Secondary commodities are a minor amount of road gravel.
(H) Incidental products will be landscape boulders and road gravel.
(1) No explosives used at this site.
7
