!TRAPPER MINEI
January 9, 2012
Mr. Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr. Ebert:
TRAPPER MINIM INC.
Re: Trapper Mining Inc., Permit No. C41 -010, Minor Revision MR-219
Revise Permit Section 4.4.1.5 Bond Release Area Delineation
Please find enclosed duplicate copies of permit revision MR -219. The intent of this minor
revision is to revise Permit Section 4.4.1.5 to allow small parcels of range site C reclamation to be
included in range site A/B bond release blocks.
Most large blocks of range site C have been Phase III bond released at Trapper Mine. The few
remaining parcels of range site C now sit dispersed across the site on the fringes of the larger
range site C parcels. These parcels were designated as range site C due to their location relative
to elevation. By designating them range site C it gave Trapper the option of releasing these
parcels under the performance standards for range site C. However, it has been convenient to
lump these smaller parcels into the larger range site A/B blocks when their use and management
more closely resembles their adjoining and or near A/B blocks. This approach helps to better
establish logical land management units consistent with the CDRMS guidelines regarding bond
release.
When range site C parcels are combined with the range site A/B blocks the performance
standards for the A and/or B parcels will be applied to the entire block. When larger parcels of
range site C are to be released, and the future use of these parcels may be agricultural, then it
would be prudent to release them as independent range site C blocks.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the enclosed information.
Sincerely,
kL
Graham Roberts
EHS Specialist
GCR [M /Permit Revtsions/MR219 Cover Letter.doc]
c Jared Ebert-two copies w/ attachments
Wendy Reynolds, BLM w/ attachments
File 109.2.3.4 w/o attachments
Revisions File
PO Box 187
Craig, Colorado 81626 (970) 824 -4401
