December 21, 2011 C- 1981 - 019 /Colowyo Coal Mine RDZ <br />An issue was identified with several flumes at NPDES points. The discharge pipes flow directly into the Parshall <br />flumes, possibly making the flow measurements inaccurate. This issue will be investigated by Division staff. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.0 1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />No problems were observed with roads or culverts. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />West Pit reclamation from 2010 and 2011 was inspected from roads. Reclamation performed during 2011 was <br />inspected via foot. These areas appeared to be in good condition as no erosion or large weed patches were <br />observed. <br />The top of the embankment at Prospect Pond should be seeded. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The crusher by the office was loading a truck. The South Taylor Lot and the administration building area were <br />also inspected. No problems were observed at these facilities. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Entrance signs were observed at the entrance, Section 28 pond, and Streeter Pond.
