In order to evaluate the plan to backfill <br />the portals with cemented tails, the following information must be submitted to the Division: <br />a) Cross sections of the portal entrances. <br />b) An estimate of the volume of tailings required to backfill the mine workings. <br />c) An estimate of the volume of cement to be mixed with the tailings. <br />d) A description of how the material will be backfilled and compacted. <br />e) Describe where the tailings material will come from and demonstrate that this <br />material will be available upon closure of the portals. <br />J) An estimate of the rate of water discharge from the portals. <br />g) The rate of slope of the portals. <br />6.3.5 Exhibit E — Map <br />18. The Reclamation Plan Map contains labels which show that both of the shafts, the Idaho <br />Tunnel Portal, and the Cross Mine Portal will be "CLOSED ". However, the new Cross Mine <br />Decline Portal does not contain this label. In order to maintain consistency between the <br />Reclamation Plan and the Reclamation Plan Map, Please revise the Reclamation Plan Map to <br />show the Cross Mine Decline Portal will be reclaimed and permanently closed. <br />6.3.6 Exhibit F — List of Other Permits and Licenses Required: <br />19. Please state whether a permit from Boulder County will be required to install the septic <br />systems and commit to providing the Division with copies of the approval(s). <br />Also placed with the Boulder County Clerk was a signed copy of the revised Reclamation Plan <br />Map, a letter from the land owner requesting certain structures remain as part of the post mine <br />land use, and an aerial photo showing the areas where aspen and pine are present on the mine <br />site. <br />
