OBSERVATIONS
PERMIT #: M -1983 -106
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: SIR
INSPECTION DATE: December 21, 2011
This was a normal monitoring inspection of Pit No. 2, DRMS file# M- 1983 -106, operated by Cheyenne County.
This site is located approximately, 1 mile east of Wildhorse, Colorado in Cheyenne County. I, Stephanie Reigh
of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the inspection. Mr. Victor Gibbs of
Cheyenne County accompanied me on the inspection.
The current approved permit area for Pit No. 2 is 65 acres. The mine entrance sign and permit boundary
markers are all in place and the northwestern corner of the site is reclaimed. Tamarisk plants have become
established in the reclaimed area. Mr. Gibbs explained that he had sprayed the Tamarisk earlier in the year.
Blue Gramma and other native grasses are coming in nicely throughout the reclaimed area. There was no
equipment on site at the time of inspection, although the site is currently being mined.
No problems were observed during the inspection.
