<br />I, Karen M. Johnson, do solemnly swear that I am
<br />General Manager of the El Paso County Advertiser and
<br />News, that the same is a weekly newspaper printed, in
<br />whole or in part, and published in the County of El Paso,
<br />state of Colorado, and has a general circulation therein;
<br />that said newspaper has been published continuously
<br />and uninterruptedly in said county of El Paso for a period
<br />of more than 52 weeks next prior to the first publication
<br />of the annexed notice and that said newspaper is a
<br />weekly newspaper duly qualified for publishing legal
<br />notices and advertisements within the meaning of the
<br />laws of the State of Colorado.

<br />Schmidt Construction Company, 2635 Delta Dnve, Colorado Spnngs, CO 80910, 719-
<br />392 -4207, has filed an amendment to a Regular (112) Construction Materials Operation
<br />Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions
<br />of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials The
<br />proposed amendment is at the Menzer Quarry, and is located at or near Section 32,
<br />Township 16 South, Range 67 West, 6'^ Pnme Meridian
<br />There is no proposed date of commencement as the corrective action work has been
<br />completed This amendment is to add the corrective actions taken within 6,762 SQ FT of land
<br />that was mistakenly disturbed beyond the affected and boundary The proposed future use
<br />of the land is for wildlife habitat Additional information and tentative decision date may be
<br />obtained from the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room
<br />215, Denver, CO 80203, or the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder's office, 1675 West
<br />Garden of the Gods, Colorado Spnngs, CO 80907, or the above named applicant.
<br />Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining,
<br />and Safety by 4:00 p m on January 3, 2012
<br />Please note that under the provisions of C.R.S 34- 32.5 -101 et am, comments related
<br />to noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on property values and
<br />other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to this Office's junsdiction These
<br />subjects, and similar ones, are typically addressed by your local govemments, rather than the
<br />Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety or the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
