(i) Description of how mining will affect the quantity and quality of surface and
ground water and methods that will be used to minimize such disturbances:
No mining shall occur. No ground water was intercepted. All storm water runoff is into
the pit area and drains onto the adjacent Harry Corkle Construction Pit. It is then dealt
with according to that Pits approved permits.
(j) Description as to how the Operation will comply with applicable Colorado water
laws and regulations governing injury to existing water rights:
No water rights will be affected since mining is complete and no storm water is retained
on site.
(k) Description as to how the Operation will handle acid or toxic producing
materials:
No acid or toxic materials will be used or encountered on this site.
(1) Description as to what measures will be taken to minimize disturbance to the
hydrologic balance, prevent off -site damage, and provide for a stable configuration
of the reclaimed area consistent with the proposed future land use:
The hydrologic balance will not be influenced by reclamation on this site. All drainage is
internal to the pit area. (Please see (i) above.) The site will be regraded, topsoil replaced,
seeded and mulched to stabilize the area.
A Stormwater Management Plan should not be needed since the site will be in active
reclamation and only for a very short period of time. In addition, Stormwater
Management will be according to the existing plan for the adjacent Harry Corkle
Construction Pit. However, best management practices will be followed at the site during
reclamation. (Please see (i) above.)
(m) Description of onsite material processing, facilities and chemicals used:
No on -site mineral processing will occur.
(n) Identification of the primary and secondary commodities mined and intended
uses:
No mining will occur.
(o) Identification of the expected incidental products mined and intended uses:
No mining will occur.
(p) Describe if explosives will be used, if so demonstrate if off site areas will be
adversely affected:
No use of explosives will be used during reclamation.
16
