Recommendation for Approval of the Hard Rock/Metal Mining Regular (112) Operation
Reclamation Permit Application Submitted by Mt. Elbert Mining Co., L.L. C.
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has completed technical review of
the Hard Rock/Metal Mining Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit Application (CN1).
The Division believes that the applicant has complied with the requirements of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Act and the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Board For Hard Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations, and
therefore is preparing to recommend that the Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) approve
the CN1 application, over the objections received, at the January 11 -12, 2012 Board meeting.
The Division's rational for recommendation for approval is enclosed.
A Pre - hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at
11:00 a.m. The Pre - hearing Conference will be held at the Lake County Courthouse, in the
Commisioners Meeting Room, at 505 Harrison Avenue, in Leadville, Colorado, 80461.
