Based on the results of the 2011 quantitative sampling, the Phase III eligible reclamation
areas exceeded the predicted total cover vegetation value of 35.41 percent, meeting the final
revegetation success criterion for total vegetation cover.
Species Composition (2011)
Total Perennial
Species*
( >3% rel. cover)
Warm Season
Grasses*
Cool Season
Grasses*
Relative Importance
(3 % <x<40 %)
Success Phase III
Standard Rec. The reclamation areas sampled had a mean total
vegetation cover of 47.33 percent. Even the deletion of Bromus tectorum, per the insistence
of CDRMS, still results in a vegetation cover of 42.80 percent. The resample of quantitative
vegetation cover for Phase III bond and liability release reveals that the requirement for total
vegetation cover has been met.
Coors Energy Company Keenesburg Mine Page 7
2011 Vegetation Sampling: Phase III Eligible Areas
