111593 -2 NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to Approve Permit Renewal Applica- tion No. 6 (RN -6), submitted by Chevron Mining, Inc for a coal mining permit at the Edna Stnp Mine (Permit No. C -1980 -001). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and /or reclamation opera- tions at the site. The Edna Strip Mine is located in Routt County, ap- proximately 5 miles northwest of Oak Creek, Colo- rado, Colorado. Coal interest at this Surface mine is Federal, and the surface to be affected is Federal, state and pnvate land. The permit area encom- passes approximately 3,257 30 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with at requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101 et seq., C.R.S., and the regu- 'Iations promulgated thereunder.
