The Notice was approved after May 2008
PERMIT #: P- 2008 -018
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: GRM
INSPECTION DATE: December 5, 2011
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal program established by the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining, and Safety (Division) for Notices of Intent (NOI). Energy Fuels Resources is requesting a modification of the
Farmer Girl 2 Drilling Project MD -01. Jess Fulbright and Kaiwen Wu of Energy Fuels accompanied Division inspector Russ
Means on site.
The proposed modification to the Notice is to add 16 additional drill holes in the same area of past drilling. All holes
were well marked with stakes and identification numbers.
The inspector notes that access to all holes is along existing drill roads with exceptions of G, H, and I. G and !holes are
located at the end of an old drill road that will require some possible earthwork and tree trimming. Hole H appears to
be problematic. Post inspection information indicates the hole will be moved slightly north to reduce road construction
concerns on a steep, rock bench. Most of the existing roads will require no major upgrades or maintenance. A small
rock slide will need to be cleared to access the upper bench holes. This can be done without causing major disturbance
to the slope or road.
The inspector notes that past drill pads and holes have been reclaimed. The vegetation is doing very well. In 2010 it was
noted that some areas were a little thin. At this time of year vegetation success assessments are not practical. No
subsidence of hole closures in the original drilling were noted in 2010. This is important as the inspector will take into
account the reclamation completed to date as the new disturbances are considered.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no. 970 - 241 -1117.
