Colorado Division of Water Resources
June 23, 2011
Page 8
through August), and c) late season (September and October), as was described in more detail in the
LWS Expert Report in 07CW42. The proposed revised accounting forms are presented in Appendix
B and will be reported monthly to the Division 3 office.
PROPOSED TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following are the proposed terms and conditions for this SWSP:
(1) The volumetric limit on consumptive use (augmentation credits and irrigation) from
the Salazar Ranch water rights for this SWSP will be 526 ac -ft/yr.
(2) The volumetric limit associated with Rocky Mountain Farms Well Permit No. 8324
is 183 ac -ft/yr.
(3) Expected depletions under this SWSP will be approximately 155 ac -ft/yr.
(4) For 2011, the lands that have historically been flood - irrigated south of Salazar
Reservoir will be dried up (85 ac) and the 120 -acre East Pivot will be dried up.
(5) Dry-up of irrigated lands at the Salazar Ranch will provide an augmentation credit
of approximately 270 ac -ft/yr, which will offset the expected depletive effect under
this SWSP.
(6) All pumping of the West Pit and alluvial wells will be augmented with historic
consumptive use credits from the Salazar Ranch and/or historic consumptive use
credits associated with the Rocky Mountain Farms.
(7)
Storage of consumptive use credits in Salazar Reservoir will be subject to providing
a means to measure the capacity of the reservoir so that both storage and releases can
be metered.
(8) Storage of in- priority water in Salazar Reservoir shall be with the concurrence of the
District 24 Water Commissioner.
(9)
Salazar Reservoir and/or Rocky Mountain Farm well releases of consumptive use
water and/or water stored in priority will be made during the non - irrigation season
to augment depletions from pumping of the West Pit and alluvial wells.
(10) Monthly accounting of all pumping, depletions, stream releases, and augmentation
water volume and sources will be provided to the Division Engineer.
